Arriving in Palermo
The easiest way to reach Palermo is by air. Frequent flights connect
Palermo to Rome and Milano. There are a few direct flights to a number
of European destinations, but usually the most convenient way to reach
Palermo from abroad is via a connecting flight in Rome or Milano.
From Palermo airport, one can easily reach the centre of the city by
public transportation. There is a frequent and inexpensive bus service just outside the arrival area and
the bus ticket (at the moment approximately Euro 5) can be bought on
the bus.
In Palermo, you should get out at "Politeama" in order to take
the bus n. 806 to Mondello.
Alternatively, with a slightly longer path, you can take the airport
shuttle which will bring you to the main terminal where you can take
the metro (the ticket is approximately Euro 5)
and get out at "Palermo Centrale" and then take bus n. 806
to reach
Mondello.
The fastest but most expensive way to reach Mondello is by taxi (the
ticket is approximately Euro 31).

How to reach Mondello
From the airport, the simplest way is by taxi. From the town center,
the best served bus stop is at Piazza Politeama. You should buy a ticket
before getting on the bus, at any newspaper kiosk or tobacconist or
other bus company booth. From Piazza Politeama take bus n. 806 to reach
Mondello (frequency every 20/30 min).
