Popular astronomy 1900: science, fiction and new media (POSTER)

My poster will present and discuss some cases of popular astronomy ("post-Flammarion") from the
decades around 1900, particularly from Northern Europe: how they often combined "traditional"
science, art & literature, and different (more or less new) media, either they were existing
(photography, cinema) or only thought of (television); how the observatory was "appropriated" by
popular arts, as a merge of romanticism and modernity.
