The easiest way to reach Palermo is by air. Frequent
flights connect Palermo to Rome and Milano. There are a few direct flights to a number of European destinations,
but usually the most convenient way to reach Palermo from abroad is via a connecting flight in Rome or Milano.
From Palermo airport, one can easily reach the centre of the city by public transportation (there is a frequent
and inexpensive bus service just outside the arrival area). The bus ticket (at the moment Lit. 7,500) can be bought
on the bus. In Palermo, you should get out at "Politeama" in order to take a bus to Mondello.
Alternatively, you can take a taxi directly from the airport to your Hotel in Mondello. This is the fastest and
most expensive way to reach Mondello. See the next section for more details.

From the airport, the simplest way is by taxi. We have arranged for the fixed fee of Lit. 55.000 to be charged
to INSAP III participants by Cooperativa Autoradio Taxi (Phone +39-091-513311 / http://www.palermoweb.com/autoradiotaxi)
for the whole duration of the meeting. On the 30th and 31st December two hostesses will be at the airport to help
participants contact the above taxi company.
From the town center, the best served bus stop is at Piazza Politeama. You should buy a ticket before getting on
the bus, at any newspaper kiosk or tobacconist or other bus company booth. From Piazza Politeama take bus #806
to reach Mondello (frequency every 20 min).
