ASTROFIT - "ASTRONOMY FELLOWSHIPS IN ITALY" 1st Call
INAF, the National Institute for Astrophysics, is pleased to announce the launch of the AstroFIt Programme, in co-funding with the European Commission's 7th Framework Progamme, under the Marie Curie Action COFUND. The programme offers seven transnational grants enabling researchers from abroad to carry out a project in one of the INAF structures in Italy, for a period of two years.

The research areas that can be covered at OAPa in the framework of computational fluid dynamics and high performance computing are:

  • stars, stellar population and interstellar medium;
  • Sun and solar system;
  • relativistic and particle astrophysics.

AstroFIt call 1, funds:
  • N. 3 Incoming Mobility fellowships.
    Applicants must have not resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Italy for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline.
  • n. 4 Reintegration Mobility fellowships.
    Applicants must be Italian nationals who have carried out research in a Third Country (1) for at least 3 years in the last 4 years prior to the call deadline.
To be eligible, researchers must be holders of a doctorate or have at least 4 years of research experience.
